Where did your love for vintage come from?
My love of art and design led to an appreciation of fashion designers, their clothing, accessories and magazines at a very early age, and this has now allowed me to understand looking for and buying one-of-a-kind, hard-to-find vintage and/or rare items.
Have you ever loved a piece so much you decided to keep it for yourself? If so, what was it?
I love beautiful day dresses that can be worn anywhere, anytime, but I try to keep specialty knit items from Europe that fit me, because they can make a fashion statement with any outfit.
What’s your favorite vintage film?
Anything with Audrey Hepburn or Lauren Bacall
If you could own any piece from the past (jewellery, clothing, furniture, art etc.) what would it be?
A furnished castle in Europe!

Did you always know that you would start this business?
I started to actively purchasing designer vintage pieces when my two daughters entered the working world. I know there are many young ladies out there that would love to have that same opportunity. I love hearing the squeals of delight when an item is the right price and it fits!!!
What is the most rewarding thing about owning your own business?
I meet very interesting people when buying or selling and it gives me a greater opportunity to travel.
What is it about pop-up shops and marketplace style events that you find the most exciting?Exposing my designer vintage clothing and accessories to a much wider spectrum of clientele, all surprised by the quality, price, and variety of items I bring to a show.
What about The Vintage Marketplace 2014 are you the most enthusiastic about?Doing my first 2-day show in this particular locale, especially in the spring and not just in Toronto or Ottawa!
What are you most excited to show your shoppers at The Vintage Marketplace?To display what “Reflections of Tyme” has to offer in the way of affordable designer vintage clothing and accessories!
